We will reviewing and learning more about the Zones of Regulation this month and into February. The Zones is an evidenced-based curriculum designed to support children's social-emotional growth by helping them develop a more robust feeling and emotion vocabulary. Additionally, the Zones teaches children to understand how similar emotions and feelings impact the body and our behavior. Understanding how your body feels can help identify your emotion, especially some of the more nuanced states.
Objectives:
1) Students will be able to identify a range of emotions/feelings and associated zone.
2) Students will be able to identify expected and unexpected Zone states.
2) Students will be able to identify and use their own unique tools to assist with coping when in an unexpected Zone.
